As resistant as I’ve been toward the changing of seasons, we’re now just one day away from October—so I’ve officially surrendered to fall. There are, of course, things to be excited about: The fun that comes with autumn fashion, the joys of cozying up with a good book, and the chance to swap out my summer fragrances with more musky, autumnal scents (our editors recently compiled their favorite perfumes, and it’s a must read, IMO).
It’s also necessary to recognize the privilege of being able to enjoy something like the changing of seasons. Hurricane Ian hit Florida this week, leaving behind a devastating amount of damage, and more unrest has erupted in Iran following the death of Kurdish Iranian woman Mahsa Amini. For those of us who are lucky enough to not be directly impacted by tragic events, it’s all the more reason to educate ourselves and give back wherever we can. I recommend checking out this list of resources for helping those affected by the hurricane, and you can catch up on our coverage of the continuing unrest in Iran here.
The pajama x streetwear overlap is one of my favorite fashion trends to emerge this year, and my current obsession is Sleeper’s black and white striped pajama set. I’ve worn it—both as separates and as a set—to work, to bed, and to party. It’s classic, cozy, and so versatile. SHOP IT
