We’re firmly in the midst of fall, and I couldn’t be happier. I was born in June and will always love summer, but Autumn is for the girls with taste (sorry!) Better fashion, more red wine, more horror movies, nature becoming a kaleidoscope of color, getting cozy. Also, the cooler temperatures mean you can play with makeup again, as you won’t have to fight off humidity and sweat. I love playing up my eyes, and our Beauty Team has pulled together a list of all kinds of palettes, no matter your taste. Also, fall is a great excuse to take a mini trip. Like my colleague Julia, I’m an over-packer, so this list of weekender bags will force me to downsize on my quick jaunts upstate.

Also, if you missed it, the Midterm Elections are in less than two weeks. Here’s a primer on everything that’s at stake in our country right now. It’s easy to fall into apathy but remember your voice.
